She is standing in front of the class.
Today, she asks everyone, “How are you today?”
Pedro is happy because it is his birthday.
Maria is tired because she studies late every night.
Matthew is nervous because today is test day.
Sofia is excited because she is ready to pass the test.
Daniel is sad because his dog is sick.
Mrs. Rosa smiles and says,
“I am happy because I am with my students today.”

Hi, my name is Pedro. I am very happy today because it is my birthday. I am ten years old now. My friends are here, and my teacher is nice. I am not tired. I am excited. After school, my family is having a small party. I am happy because I love birthdays.
