Story Introduction:
“The Greenfield School Science Day”
Welcome to the Science Day at Greenfield School!
Every year, students show their projects in the big hall at Greenfield School. Everyone is excited and curious to see what each student has made. This is not just a regular day; it’s a day full of new ideas, creativity, and friendly competition.
This year, there are many interesting projects. We will focus on three young scientists: Alex, Sam, Jenny, and their teacher, Mrs. Thompson. Each of them has made something special. Sam has a big volcano that can erupt. Jenny has a small but beautiful project about nature. Alex has made a model of the stars and planets that looks very real.
Today, we will see how these students use words like ‘bigger,’ ‘smaller,’ ‘better,’ and ‘worse’ to talk about their projects and learn from each other. They will learn that every project is good in its own way.
Let’s start our day of fun and learning with Alex, Sam, and Jenny at the Science Day!
Alex: “Look at Sam’s volcano! It’s way bigger than mine.”
Sam: “Maybe, but your presentation is clearer than mine, Alex. You explained the details better.“
Jenny: “Both of your projects are more complex than mine. I should have added more experiments.”
Mrs. Thompson: “Each project has its strengths. Jenny, your design is more creative than most, and creativity is just as important as size or complexity.”
Alex: “That’s true. I guess sometimes smaller can be better, especially when it’s about original ideas.”
Sam: “Exactly! And Jenny, your project is the most colorful one here, which makes it very attractive.”
Mrs. Thompson: “I’m impressed by how differently you’ve all approached your projects. This diversity in thinking is what science is all about!”
