1. Comparatives with One-Syllable Adjectives

2. Comparatives with Two-Syllable Adjectives Ending in ‘y’

Note:
Two-syllable adjectives that end in ‘y’ drop the ‘y’ and add ‘ier’ to compare two things.
Example: HAPPY – HAPP + IER = HAPPIER
happy – happier funny – funnier easy – easier busy – busier lucky – luckier
We do this instead of using ‘more’ to keep the word short and easy to say.
